Parents and carers
We know many of you have emailed us about your concerns regarding the opening of Nursery. We understand all of your concerns. We are still not in a position to be able to give you the exact date and plan of our opening. As you may have seen in the press there are some unanswered questions that we need to have clarified before we can set a date for a full or phased/partial return. Please bear with us an we will let you know the details once we have them clarified.
In the meantime we would be really interested to hear from you what measures you think would need to be in place before you feel able to send your child back. Please reply below or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thursday 14th May - Please see letter in the Covid 19 section
Monday 11th May
I’m sure many of you will have seen the Prime minister’s address yesterday and have heard about the possible phased re-opening of schools from the 1st June. Like you we only heard the announcement yesterday and cannot answer questions at this stage until we receive more information from the government. In the short term nothing has changed and we will provide you with further information when we are able to do so. As always our main priority is to ensure the safety of all of our community, parents, children and staff.
We must continue to practice as much social distancing as we can to keep our community safe. We have guidance on our website about Coronavirus, Covid-19, this will be updated when there is additional information. We also ...have a section on our website entitled 'Things to do at Home'.
These are very unusual and testing times, some of you may be unwell, others may be facing financial hardship. Please keep in touch with school particularly if you are worried - we may be able to help. You are our community and we do care about all of you! We would also love to hear from you to see what you are doing - we will endeavour to pick up our admin emails at email@example.com
Feel free (if you are happy doing so) to post pictures of our fabulous children on our facebook page.
Staff have prepared activities and given you ideas - we will continue to do this via the website but please do not get anxious if your child doesn't feel like doing them, have duvet days, have picnics in the living room, watch a film, play schools, bake, go outside for a walk (if you can - and stay away from other people!), read, talk and read again. See this point in history as an opportunity, something that our children will remember in a good way.
Don't forget to reach out if you need us, we are still here.
Hello and welcome to Newburn Manor Nursery School Federation website.
In September 2017 we formed the Newcastle Nursery Schools Federation. The Federation consists of three Nursery Schools – Monkchester Road Nursery School, Ashfield Nursery School and Newburn Manor Nursery School. We have two Co-Headteachers who work across the three Nurseries, Anne Humble and Kay Mills and Assistant Headteachers or a senior teacher at each school. Each Nursery School retains its individual and unique characterisitcs. There is one Governing Body across the Federation with one chair of governors and one vice chair of governors.
